Thanks for making 2012 an awesome year to FYBO!

We’d like to thank everyone who participated, sponsored, and enjoyed the 13th annual Freeze Your Balls Off Scooter Rally! It was a great year, in spite of the cold weather, with attendance from as far away as Los Angeles and New Orleans. Looking forward to FYBO 14 – in fact, we’ve already got the Facebook invite ready: http://www.facebook.com/events/153428844769620/?ref=ts

See you next year!

Countdown to FYBO 13

Only a few more days until FYBO 13 kicks off and we’re excited about all the scooterists coming into town – don’t forget that preregistration closes at noon on January 12, 2012. You’ll still be able to register at the event, but we can’t guarantee you one of our awesome tee shirts.

What do the Incriminators have in store for our guests in the Dirty D?

- Check in at The Green Room, Durham’s classic pool hall and bar, with enough pool tables and beer for everyone – pick up your patch, tee shirt, and rally bag on the way in

- Midnight ride to the Surf Club, Durham’s newest watering hole

- Incriminators Big Ass Breakfast on Saturday morning at Fullsteam Brewery with vegetarian and meatatarian options, lovingly cooked, baked, and fried by the Incriminators themselves

- Alex and Camper’s photo booth on Saturday morning – bring yourself, bring your scoot, bring your mom, we’ll take a shot at it!

- Swap meet and vendors at Saturday breakfast

- Long ride, led by Ton-Up NC

- Town ride, where we’ll hit some quintessential watering holes and shops in Durham

- Dinner at Bull City Burger and Brewery

- Saturday night at Motorco Music Hall means lots of good music, thanks to our soul DJs, <a href="DJ Midnite Cowbwoy“>DJ Midnite Cowbwoy and Lord Thomas, and our bands, Blood Red River and the Straight 8s! Trophies and raffle prizes galore, maybe some residual Friday the 13th gore…

- Say farewell at Parker & Otis with a fantastic brunch and a great beer selection

Saturday Dinner at Bull City Burger and Brewery

We’re looking forward to our second stop on the Durham brewery tour, Bull City Burger and Brewery, in the heart of Downtown Durham. As their name suggests, there will be killer brews and burgers for consumption after the long ride or the town ride.

Here are 10 things you need to know about Bull City Burger and Brewery:

1. They make pretty much everything in house.
2. Their beef is all NC sourced and pasture raised.
3. They used recycled materials in their construction (check the decor!).
4. No high fructose corn syrup or hydrogenated fat (can you say duck fat fries and a Boylan soda machine – noms!).
5. They grind their beef fresh daily.
6. They make all of their beer on site.
7. Their veggie burger rocks because it’s called the Joan Jett.
8. They have nice buns – baked in-house daily!
9. They work with local farmers to supply produce.
10. They have outdoor seating for anyone who wants to freeze their balls off.

Come grab a pint and a burger after the ride!

INCOMING! Lord Thomas to Spin at FYBO

Adding to our roster of fine soul DJs, we’re welcoming Lord Thomas and his collection of 45s to Freeze Your Balls Off 2012 Saturday night! Lord Thomas comes to us from the Seven Cities Scooter Club, representing southeastern Virginia. He blogs about soul music at http://sirlordthomas.blogspot.com/ and enjoys “cats, scootering, vinyl, grilling, and loving.” Can you dig it?

Babysitting at FYBO

We will have an on-site babysitter at the Incriminators Big Ass Breakfast at Fullsteam Brewery, the Saturday morning of the rally, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. If you are interested in the babysitting on Saturday morning, please contact Sara Lachenman at sara@series1studio.com and let her know so we can have a head count and make sure there are enough staff to take care of the chilluns.

If you are interested in having a babysitter for Saturday evening, please contact Sara Lachenman for names and numbers of reliable sitters in the Durham area.

Swap Meet at FYBO Saturday Breakfast

On Saturday morning/mid-day, during the Incriminators Big Ass Breakfast at Fullsteam Brewery, we’ll have tables set up for a swap meet. Bring your extra/old/used/new scooter parts for sell, trade, or to give away!

We’re always looking for trophy parts…
